What will the group sessions involve?
The small group sessions involve a circuit of upper limb exercises and activities and are a great way to meet people (and have a bit of friendly competition).
Can I book an individual therapy session?
Yes, you can book an appointment for individual assessment, advice and physical therapy with an Occupational Therapist to work towards achieving function based your goals.
How long do the sessions go for?
Each group session will run for 60-90 minutes. Individual sessions can run from 30 minutes to 60 minutes.
How much do the sessions cost?
Our team can assist you to access the sessions through the NDIS or other funding bodies. We will provide a quote when you submit our online form, or feel free to contact us on 07 4047 7600.
What are the benefits of participating?
Our sessions are aimed at helping you to:
- Improve your hand and upper limb posture, movement, strength or dexterity
- Boost your current skills to better manage your personal care tasks
- Enhance the use of your affected upper limbs to complete daily activities that are important to you
- Improve the posture and management of your affected upper limb(s)
- Address symptoms including swelling, spasticity, pain and splinting needs.
The exercises and activities are tailored for people living with spinal cord damage, cerebral palsy, post-stroke symptoms, Brain Injuries and other neurological conditions.
Do I need a carer or support worker?
We encourage you to bring a carer or family member to assist you, to make the most of your session.
